Who we are

This website is operated by Scorpio EURL, a company registered in France (SIREN 841 904 923), which manages the professional activities of Dato Shake. Scorpio EURL is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

What we collect and why

• Newsletter: your email address and the language you were reading the site in, so we can send you news about concerts, releases, the book and the shop in the right language. Legal basis: your consent.
• Book waitlist: your name, email address and preferred language, so we can tell you when the autobiography is published. Legal basis: your consent.
• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, so we can reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Forms are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, and stored in our Netlify account. We do not sell or share your details with third parties for their own purposes.

Cookies and embedded content

This site does not use advertising cookies.

We count visits with Metricool. It does not use cookies and records only anonymous visit statistics: the page viewed, the time of the visit and the country, which is worked out from your IP address.

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we may also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to understand how the site is used. It never loads if you refuse.

Some sections show content from outside services: the Spotify player, the TikTok feed and, when shown, Instagram posts. These services can set their own cookies, so this content only loads after you click Accept on the cookie banner, or "Accept and show" on the content itself. If you refuse, nothing from these services loads and the rest of the site works normally.

YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy enhanced mode and only load when you press play.

Your choice is stored in your browser so we don't ask again. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. The site also remembers the language you choose, which is not used for tracking.

Fonts are served by Fontshare and Google Fonts. These services receive your IP address when the page loads but do not set cookies.

How long we keep your data

Newsletter and waitlist details are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for up to three years after our last exchange.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to its processing, at any time. Write to us through the contact form or by post to Scorpio EURL, Paris, France. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
